Athletics

Any student who wishes to take part in Cross Country or Track and Field Athletics is welcome to participate in the various events throughout the year at Wexford and South Leinster level.

Athletics is a wonderful sport and is suitable for all people given its wide range of events. Whether you have experience in Athletics or you just want to give it a try, you are welcome to take part.

The year begins with Wexford Cross Country in December/January. This is a mid-length run on grass and is a lot of fun. In Spring 2026 we will enter a team in the South Leinster Track and Field in Carlow. This day includes Sprints (100m, 200m), Long Jump and High Jump, Middle distance and Long Distance running, and field events such as Shot Put, Discus and Javelin.
